Summer camp 2019

The traditional summer camp was centered around two project topics, the life of bees and for the group of "senior" members of the programme a virtual travel through Polish history and cultureas well as through this country under the motto of the traditional friendship between our nations. Time remained for excursions by bike to the Rotunda in close Slovenia and a bathing in Lake Vadása that was recultivated recently. A special highlight was a spontaniously organized visit to an enchanting old lady "Vilma néni" with whom a traditional "strudel", i.e. rétes in Hungarian was baked by a few members of the group. Meanwhile we learnt about earlier periods of the Őrség, this wonderful border region of Hungary with difficult times under communist rule, wittnessed by this ever-young lady. You can only become envious about the taste of this delicious pastry.
