Enjoy learning - maths and a day at the adventure park
Results measures before and after the series of practising occasions, 20 in a row, over a period of up to 4 weeks showed a clear improvement of the counting skills of the pupils from 10 - 14 years. The most spectacular improvement was reached among 4th grade pupils, whereas improvement measured by the correctness of answers was less striking among 5 and 6 grade pupils resp. grade 8 pupils, already leaving grammar school by the end of thes school year. Howeveer, increase in the speed of answer-giving has underpinned the effectiveness of the tool.
Some 35 pupils were invited to joun a daily tour organised by the Give a Chance to the Gifted programme the target of wich was an advanture / climbing park at lake Bánk, some 80 kms of Budapest upon the generous invitation of a member of the Rotary Club Tabán (Budapest) runnung that park including a free lunch.
